Today we startup Bus Natural Gas Fueling station , which we waited for five years, said Mayor Milan Bandic within ZET tram depot in Podsused. Here we will fill 60 bus branch ZET, which we bought because of environmental and economic feasibility, the mayor added, emphasizing that the standard of public transport in Zagreb is equal the one in Budapest.
This standard should be maintained and even improved , because that our citizens deserve. Following tasks are opening gas filling stations in Dubrava depot and the purchase of additional buses powered by compressed natural gas, said the mayor, thanked everyone who contributed to this project accomplish. As known , so far buses have been filled within Gas works on Radnickoj road, but capacity and technology of this filling station were not sufficient. Namely, filling one reservoir needed till 50 minutes, and the new gas station takes 5 - 10 minutes. City and ZET started project five years ago, but due to many unforeseen circumstances and giving up from INA, which was a participant, was achieved only today. www.zagreb.hr
